Discovery Studio® provides a client interface for working with a variety of documents and protocols.

However, it may be desirable to access specific Discovery Studio functionality programmatically to:

• Automate repetitive tasks
• Link several tasks or calculations together in sequence
• Explore calculations that are not available from any of the application's modules
• Integrate with other software
  

DiscoveryScript is our Perl scripting tool that enables you to perform such tasks,by allowing you to manipulate objects in the application's environment, both at the command line and interactively.

The addition of DiscoveryScript to Discovery Studio has provided a unique opportunity for customers and Accelrys colleagues to create libraries of customized scripts.

The following page provides a formal view of scripts that have have been submitted to the Discovery Studio scripting forums. You can also access Discovery Studio scripts directly from the DiscoveryScript Forum.
